Welcome to Yogantra — A New Way to Move, Breathe & Live

“What Conscious Living Means to Me — and How to Start Practicing It”

Hi and welcome!
I’m Marcela, and I created Yogantra to share the tools that help me live with intention — on and off the mat. As a yoga teacher, wellness coach, and movement specialist (currently walking the path into motherhood!), I’ve learned that conscious living isn’t about perfection... it’s about showing up with presence, strength, and care.

Years ago, I returned from India with a deeper sense of connection to myself and a clearer vision for how I wanted to support others. That’s when Yogantra was born. The word itself means “tools for transformation” — and that’s what I want to offer you: movement, breath, practices, and mindset shifts to support every season of your life.

India 2017

  1. Prioritize Sleep: Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine to wind down and ensure a restful slumber.

  2. Hydration is Key: Our bodies are mostly water, so staying hydrated is crucial for optimal function. Carry a reusable water bottle and sip throughout the day to keep your energy levels up.

  3. Move Your Body: Even moderate exercise can significantly boost your energy. Aim for at least 30 minutes of movement most days of the week. Take a brisk walk outside, try a new fitness class, the point is to boost circulation in the body!

Simple Practice to Try:

Today’s Tool: Centering Breath

Take 2 minutes to place on hand over your heart, one over your belly. Inhale for 4 counts….

Hold of 4, exhale for 6. Repeat 3 rounds.

This practice signals safety to your nervous system and helps you ground—perfect before meetings, workout ( think of cool down) or simply to start your day. The idea is to be present with these practices, avoid the cell phone and constant stimulation we have nowadays with social media. The invitation is to pause, observe by being present.

I will be in your inbox every two weeks with something to reflect on, move with, or breathe through. Feel open to sharing it with anyone who may find these tools useful.

Have a request or question? Just hit reply—I’d love to hear from you.

Take care

With Warmth,

Marcela
